Arm Roll by Ferret
What you are watching is actually a combination of two different ‘Flyaways’ and two different arm rolls, (not to mention my backyard, and one of my standard, mundane forms of dress) Yes, that’s what I look like when I hit the streets.
The first is a “backarm roll” from cradle to elbow. I push the ball just a little harder than I would for a standard backarm roll to cradle and pull my elbow up just prior to launch. do what I refer to as a “Jump, Flyaway.” This causes a midair floating effect. While the ball is ‘airborne’ I throw the sending hand and arm over and around the ball, and do what I call, ‘a Scoop’ with the same hand. Scoop the ball into palm, while setting up the other arm for the rest of the trick. Do a quick little ‘Flip-Flop’ over to cradle, and then do a ‘Flick Flyaway’ off cradle to the next armroll, a “reverse backarm roll” (elbow to cradle.)
Please pay attention to the overall body movement as well as the move itself. This is important to your audience’s eyes. I don’t expect you to move like I do, doing this or any other trick or move, but it is something that not only dictates the fluidity of the move, but creates a more pleasing performance for your audience.
