To move in a circular pattern Contact Juggling: An art form in which a ball maintains contact with the skin. There are 2 forms to Contact Juggling, Ball Spinning and Ball Rolling. Ball: A spherical object use by the Contact Juggler. They can be made out of several materials. Different types include but are not limited to. Lacrosse, Healthy Balls(Chinese Excercise Balls), Crystal, Acrylic, Field Hockey, Wooden, Aluminum and Basketball. Ball Spinning: One of the two forms of Contact Juggling. This form is done by spinning balls in your palm. Ball Rolling: One of two forms of Contact Juggling. This for is done by rolling the ball on your body. Transfer: A method of moving the ball from one hand to the other. Symmetry: Mirror imaging the left half and the right half of your body. All Contact Jugglers strive to have symetrical tricks. Butterfly: Basic move of Contact Juggling. This is a move in which the ball rolls over your finger tips in the wall plane. Flying Butterfly: This is a butterfly with a back to back transfer and then another butterfly with the other hand. Cradle(Trough): This is the back of the hand holding position for the ball. You depress your middle finger and it forms a cradle for the ball. Around the world: Trick of Contact Juggling. Back to back transfer with a Front to Front Transfer(Palm to Palm) Front to Back(Palm to Back): A transfer in which the ball goes from the front or palm of the hand to the back of the other hand. Back to Front(Back to Palm): A transfer in which the ball goes from the back of one hand to the front or palm of the other. Back to Back Transfer: A transfer in which the ball goes for the back of one hand to the back of the other. Staircase: A trick done by repeating Back to Back transfers over and over. It creates a staircase effect. Pyramid: This is a ball spining move in which 3 balls on the bottom support the 4th on top. Head Balancing: A hold in which the ball is on the head. Usually the for head Head Rolls: Rolling the ball on the head. Usually from Temple to Temple. Isolation: A trick in which the ball is moving but it looks as though it is standing still. This can be done with one ball or more than one ball. When using more than one ball the balls that are moving seem to orbit around the isolated ball. Ball Curl: A movement holding one or more balls in which your hand curls into your body and around to the outside. The ball hold ends where it began. Ball Walking: A trick in which one or more balls are transfered from hand to hand in a walking manner. This can be done front to front back to back or any combination. Also the ball can be isolated when walking. WaterFall(Falling Up): A trick in which the ball is thrown up and caught before it reachs it's arc and it seems as though the ball floated up into the other hand. Breaking the plane: This is when the ball breaks from the standard wall plane. Wall Plane: The ball moves in a plane in front of the performer that is like a brick wall. Throw Juggling: A form of Juggling in which the balls are thrown and caught. Hold(Stall): This is a pause in a routine. Routine: Several Tricks linked together for a prolonged period of time. Props: These are the items that a Contact Juggler juggles. Folding: 2 hands doing butterflies with 1 ball in each hand. The left arm goes out then the right. The left arm comes down then the right.
